Great two days in Van Alstyne.  Saw 50 or so ducks both mornings with it tapering off by 8:30am or so.

Birds worked well and took 6 on 11/14 from the east side of the lake and a two man limit on 11/15 from the west side.  Both days from layout blinds hidden amongst the cattails.  Abundant Sun on 11/14 and cloudy on 11/15.

Stayed to enjoy the peace and quiet of the morning and saw nothing else flying from 9-11am. when we headed out.

Agree with others that permanent blind would only work with North Wind.  Even with that, it always stares directly into the Sun on sunny days. 

Recommend passing on the blind and bring your own form of cover.
