Got the boat in the water by 12:30 and started to fish by the dam. After no luck we moved over to east side (opposite the lodge). My partner was throwing top water and I went with a green laminate senko with a worm blade. I nailed a nice four pounder in the timber. So things were looking great for us.  We then noticed the bass were schooling and chasing bait fish in the middle of the lake. So we started the chase but could never catch the school or out guess were they would appear next. I did manage one nice bass on a white spinner in our pursuit. Went back to the east side. My partner still throwing frogs while I switched to a watermelon seed 5” fluke. I started to nail them pretty consistently while frogman ended up with two on a spro frog.  When I threw the flukes at him he did use them occasionally and caught a few on the flukes. In total we probably got 18 bass for the afternoon. My advice at least for now, fish the east side from the boat launch along the rocky shore. We went up one of the two fingers in the lake but didn’t have any luck. The water in the finger was extremely clear and we saw thousands of bait fish in the pads.  We will return to this site in the spring.
