Fished in the afternoon, caught 10, harvested 4. This site didn’t disappoint as usual. 5 fish sack = 17 lb.‘s. The new alternate launch site is fantastic, easy to hand launch by myself. It is directly on the opposite side of the lake as the normal launch, across the dam, you will see it when you arrive. Works great! The owner here is awesome, we are lucky to have this owner in our club.

Alternate launch site?  I’m love the sound of this but have no idea what you are talking about.

Well, whoever fished there before me made their own launch site on the direct opposite side of the lake. I launched there as well with absolutely no problems, but I hand launched. It appeared whoever launched did back a trailer down and it made a decent little ramp into the lake. They just so happened to launch at a place where it drops into about 3-4 feet of water immediately. you can hand launch here with absolutely no problems. And the owner is fine with it, she was happy to see how easy to was for me to launch as she came to see if I needed any help, that’s a classy lady right there. Any way, trailers, I am not sure, but hand launch, no problem.

For a bit of clarification; there is no new boat ramp at Timber Lake. Somebody got creative and decided to put their boat in on the other side of the lake. This is NOT an official launch area, but works for now. The Landowner is OK with this until water rises and or a we put a better launch when water is low. Yes, there are a few members who might want to call their second home Timber Lake. Probably the most popular and hottest lake in the club. It is open for 27 more days and then closes until early Spring.
