Dear Trail 8/23/13
Water surface temp 82 degrees, Water Level Low approx. 6 to 7 feet, the lowest I have ever seen it since I have been fishing this lake one of my favorites.
This was a bad day at Deer Trail as I only caught 5 Bass and my fishing partner caught 4, mostly in the deepest part of the lake about 15’ to 16’ of water. I am confident if lake is able to receive some Rain Fall relief and the weather cools to reduce water temperature, that fishing will improve.
I remain optimistic that this is a fine fishing spot and look forward to my next trip.

I fished there few weeks ago and had tough day. Fished almost all day and caught 8 on 6 different baits. Lake was little murky when I fished. I’m kinda thinking like you if the water level comes up and cools off it’ll turn on.
