went with a friend Saturday morning, caught a few off the launch past the weed bed. using lizards and worms, dark purple of any kind. picked up a few more at the end of dam. friend caught into a few nice ones there. we stayed in about 8 to 10 feet of water around the trees but not way up inside like we usually do. total of about 23, two dinks the rest all healthy 3 31/2 lbs with about 3 or 4 went in the 5 lb range. good day, slow fished on the bottom, thought we were hung up on the bottom on the big ones we caught!  a beautiful day.

How’s the boat launch area there? I’ve heard lake level is down and difficult to launch by yourself. I have a 10 ft buster boat I can usually hand launch myself. Was wanting to try this lake but I more than likely would be fishing by myself. I’ve been to deer trail 3 times but not here. Any info appreciated

Lake is low, and launching is a challenge by yourself, but not impossible. Just load your battery and TM into the end of the boat farthest from the shore and you’ll be fine. Oh, and bring plenty of water, or you won’t last long!!
