I fished Lancaster on the am of 8/7/13. To my suprise there
was a south wind clipping at a steady 15-20 mph which helped with the heat alot. I ended up catching 5 total between 2-4lbs. 2 of those appeared to be stunted but the others appeared fat and healthy…no dinks! I was using a small white strike king spinner bait with a 4 inch curl tail grub trailer. This rig is weedless and easy to fish with a slow drop. The bite was light and slow .The water clarity was on the chalky side and the water level appeared to be about 1-1.5 ft low making the boat launch muddy..no big deal…Its good to be able to see normally submerged timber and get a better read on the lake. There was some heavy equipment on the roads out there doing some repaving which was kicking up a lot of dust otherwise no problem.
