Fingerling
My partner and I fished Deer Trail in the AM and caught 15, of which we harvested 6 less than 14 inches. In the PM, we fished Timber Lake and caught 7, harvesting only one. His best five bass totaled 13.07 lbs., while my best 5 totaled 12.11 lbs, of which the largest was 4.09. We’re in the “dog days” of summer with temps in the high 90s, water temp 89 degrees, wind 5-10 mph., intermittent clouds. Best baits were soft plastics with NO sinkers. Just toss the bait near the weed cover and lily pads and let it filter down to the bass, which are hiding in the shade. We’ll go again, but not until October.
