Going Saturday July 6th. Wanted to hear from some of you about what they might be biting. Especially want to hear from Jackson Bean. I have a boat with electronics so finding submerged structure will not be a problem. Lay it on me boys!

I am there Friday morning. Last two trips we had great success fishing the outside timber edges with jigs with 4 inch crawdad looking trailers.(Havock Brand trailer in blue works well, 1/2 oz jig) The fish almost always hit the jig on the first drop and the strike was like a hit on a crank bait. They attempted to take the rod out of your hands! Take some serious line as these fish will attempt to take you into the stuff.
The avarge fish here is 2 1/2 to 3 pounds. The better fish seem to still be on a crawdad diet in deeper waters.
More after my trip Friday. Plan to hand launch any boat there and I suggest rubber boots to launch as well.

Tight lines my friends. Timber Lake has become my club favorite based upon distance, price, anticipated catch, and the quality of the fish.
