Fished Triple J with my dad on Father’s Day and we were impressed. Early topwater bite we caught several good bass including 3.8 & 4+ (buzz bait), and 5.2 (KVD Sexy Dawg).  The bite slowed mid morning so we messed around trolling the middle of lake for crappie as I had learned about from other reports. The crappie were abundant with a couple over the 2 pound mark.  I was not psychologically prepared for cleaning any fish so all crappie were released.  Proximity of this lake is a big plus; I was home by 1PM.  My dad is out of guest trips now and will be joining!
