Had best day in a long time.  Got to the lake at 6:30 am on June 20 and by 11:30 am had boated 40 bass. That’s about 8 per hour which really kept me busy.  Largest was 3 1/2 lbs and 6 were over 2 1/2 lbs.  Caught every one of them on the same white chatterbait with a white Fat Albert trailer.  Harvested 15.  Lake is in great condition as is boat, trolling motor and battery that Bill Julian provides.

Don,

Great work! Are the grasses under control this year? Last June I fished Julian and it was very, very thick. I’d love to get back out there if the grasses aren’t too bad.

Very few floating weeds so far this year.  Lots of submerged weeds that make it difficult to use any type of exposed hooks below 18” or so.  You can use spinnerbaits, chatterbaits or Texas-rigged worms without too much snagging.
