A buddy of mine and I went in the am . The weather was great alittle cool and overcast most of the day.
We started on the north end along the berm and caught serveral nice 3 lb fish and then worked our way down the east side we caught several more fish and then got into the channel on the south end in the timber and caught several more 3 - 5 lb as well as several 2 - 2 1\2 they were biting real good the fish are very strong and stocky .... short but very heavy. we moved on around to the west cove just inside the timber line and caught several more 3-  5 lb.  At one point I had 2 3lb fish on my crank bait at the same time. Unfortunately as I was pulling them into the boat I lost one :(
All togather we caught 30 + bass 12 - 15 of which were 3 - 5 lb. Caught 1 on a plastic lizard and 4 on chatterbaits the rest on my “magic” crank bait.
An all around great day of fishing.
