I recently posted a report on how successful a day I had using a chatter bait. Now I see that there is a danger with this bait, at least the type I used——rather inexpensive. The fin in front of the bait that gives it such erratic movement is very susceptible to wear and will break away from the jig head leaving you with a fin—-no fish and no jig. The connection is a very weak link. As always, and in this case very definitely, keep a close eye on your terminal tackle.

Actually I’ve had a second come apart, thus the post. Now as I stated, these were not expensive and probably not to the standard of those you own so all I’m saying is be aware.
