The good, the bad, and the windy: Caught 4 beautiful, aggressive fish between 3-5 lbs each on the east shoreline, very tight to cover, but very aggressive with proper lure placement. Trolling motor battery died after 30 minutes(fortunately upwind from the boat launch). Paddling and anchoring, I was able to fish my way back to the boat launch and along the way picked up the fish on a silver rattle trap and a white buzz bait. No action on worms or frogs. 4 fish, 12 lbs, 2 hours, and a “good tired” going home after a holiday weekend. It’s great that this property is so close. I am looking forward to going back when it’s calm and my battery has been replaced.
