Fished Sat afternoon and Sun morning in between storms.  Culled 49 bass.  Released 3 that were over the 16”.  Caught a healthy 12 pounder Sat evening, just before dark.

The females are getting back to their fighting weight after the spawn.  While cleaning them, I found most had been eating crawfish.  Water temp was 84 degrees and water was muddy in the creeks but nice green color in main lake.  Great lake…lots of area to cover.

This fish as not caught at night as we do not allow night fishing on our lakes. The fish as caught in low light and the picture color was adjusted to show off the fish.

Great fish, people fish all their lives for a chance at a fish like that…...something to be very proud of, congratulations!

PWF members have that chance every time they go out…........Thanks Steve!

Thanks David.  I caught it about an hour before dark on Saturday (notice no headlamp), when I expected the bigger fish to come into the shallows to feed.  IPhone flash not the best.  It caused the background to be dark and the fish color to be too light.  The bass was a nice green color with all the nice markings.  This is not going to help when I get a replica made one of these days.

I did get measurements.  Just barely short of 27 inches in length and right on 12 pounds.  I caught it on a Pop-R.  It bent one hook.  Luckily another hook hung in there long enough to get it to the boat.
