A friend and I fished Saturday, 5/25, for 4 hours starting at 6:45 a.m. Lake full, low 80s, overcast with a 5-10mph breeze. Two laps around the East lake produced 32 bass and 5 crappie. Caught the crappie fishing for bass with a Rattletrap. Bass from 1/2 pound to 3 1/2 pounds. Surprisingly, topwater bite was slower than expected producing only 4 or 5 in an hour. Texas rigged waveworms and rattletraps produced equally for the remainder. Once again, could not get off East lake…....West lake will have to wait…again…....and great day…...again.
