Fished an afternoon trip today with member Bill Buchanan. After the hard rains on Tuesday roads and launch was fine. Water was a little stained and 76 degrees. Most fish were caught in 1-2’ of water using Zoom crawl baits, few and cranks and buzz baits. I was kidding Bill and told him we would have 15 by 2 started at 12:45 and we had 14. We caught 44 total with 34 harvest fish .... had a couple of 3.5’s and several 15-16” fish. We finished up at 6…I think JerMar is one of the best looking fishing lakes in the club…love catching fish in those pockets of reeds.  Great day with Bill!

The lake is full and it fishes completely different than it 2 months ago. The landowner has made significant time and financial commitments to the lake for the last 3 years. The addition of the rock road all the way to the spillway was a great improvement. There is now a tilapia pond above the lake in which we are growing tilapia to use as forage fish to feed the bass over the course of this year. The tilapia were added to all the ponds and lakes as well as the nursery pond that sits just above the big lake. Remember don’t the curosity get the best of you and start messing with the fish feeders. Those feeders are expensive with the highest quality fish food money can buy. Please let them be, so they can do their job. This lake will be peaking over the next 2 to 5 years and has already produced 2 9lb plus fish this year.
