Fry
Got on the lake about 10:30. Marked a lot of fish in about 8-10 feet of water right off of where I launched the kayak. White and chartreuse jigs were the order of the day for Crappie. Several nice slabs over about 4 hours of fishing. The bass were scattered throughout the lake and weren’t too picky. Crawdad crank baits and small spinners seemed to be popular. Towards the end (some lightning drove me off the water) I was getting connected with some topwater action on the west finger in the shallow water. Ended up harvesting 5 bass under the limit. Nothing of real size, but I was having so much fun catching crappies that I didn’t care.
