Started out in high winds and made the brilliant decision to troll the middle of the lake with 2 rods. Really bad idea. Immediately had a double and as I was hauling in 2 of the largest crappies I have ever caught I was blown into the dam.  I made my way back up to the North end of the lake and was quickly repelled back down the lake with no fish. I repeated this pattern several times and gave up on the wind. The shoreline had been mowed recently and I worked my way around the shore fishing frogs. Caught 5 bass between 16-19 inches. All in all not a bad day.

I was there yest morning. If the boat had wings I could of flown!!  Luckily I brought an anchor which allowed me to fish in different areas. I did manage to catch one on a Spro Frog. Watched him come up and slam it. That’s the only bite I had on the frog. Caught the majority on a KVD square bill along the dam. There’s a lot go grass (not the snot moss) along the dam, plus the wind was blowing into the dam. I’d like to fish that lake on a calm day. I would of walked the tank as well, but I had my 5 yr old son and didn’t want him to stumble upon a snake. Nice place.
