We fished from 3pm to 8:30pm. In total we caught 25 Bass of which 6 were harvested. The remaining fish were broken down as 9 Bass over 4 pounds and 10 Bass between 2 to 3 pounds.  The largest Bass was just at 6 pounds caught off the old dam. If you need to locate the old dam it is not the cove directly across from dock but next cove to the north. Look at google maps satellite view to see the dam.  Fish the drop off on both sides. Very productive area. we also fished top water from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. we threw pop-r from the dock south to the spillway. Caught a real fat 3 pounder. Before top water bite we used plastics weightless throwing Shad and fluke type baits in any color. Note: If you decide to stay for top water bite I would go back to dock around 7pm and unload everything except your top water rod as this makes it easier trying to load your vehicle in the dark. The weeds are a foot below the surface so this makes it perfect for the top water. One other thing the west side starts to shade earlier and the bite was better. We didn’t throw top water until around 7pm.
