High winds made for difficult conditions on Saturday, pm.  I managed to land 12 bass of which 7 were harvested.  The remaining fish ranged from 15 to 17 inches and were taken on Sencos.

Hey Tom,

I was just up the road a bit on Timber Lake for the Saturday PM time slot and the winds were outrageous.  The gusts were 30+ mph.  I was able to make a loop with a rope and tie off on different stumps but unfortunately Deer Trail doesn’t have that type of cover available.  I noticed all week that the forcast kept changing but I had no idea the wind was going to be such a beating.  Glad you were still able to fish.  My trolling motor batteries got thrashed.

Must have been that way everywhere. I was at JJJ at that time and almost got blown off the lake. Water was actually choppy for a couple of hours.

How was the grass and weed coverage when you were at Deer Trail?

A challenging for all, it appears.  The wind just seemed to constantly change direction, making it hard to find a spot protected.

Grass and weeds were no problem.  Nice property.  Wish I could be there today. As so often happens, winds are light today.  Figures!
