We fished San Saba a full day Saturday and a half day Sunday.  Caught a total of about 50 fish between four of us.  Harvested ten bass and two monster crappie.  We caught two ” true” keepers at 4 and 5 lb respectively. 

Caught a few small ones off of beds, but overall the bed fish had zero interest in anything we offered them.  Water was crystal clear and there was a lot of grass and vegetation.  Weedless fishing is a must.  Nailed ‘em on weightless plastics, chatterbaits and shallow crankbaits in the deep end of the lake and channels.  Gorgeous ranch and very relaxing.  Wanted some bigger fish, but the ones we caught fought hard and were healthy.
