A friend and I fished Blackjack on Saturday 4/6 9:30-4:30

The weather was 55-75 and water was extremely clear it was windy and partly cloudy to clear.

We caught 41 bass to 4 1/2 pounds and harvested 25 less than 14 inches.  We also caught 2 large Bream.

We fished from the bank as it seemed to windy to use the boat and had good success especially early 9:30-11:30. We caught them on flukes and jigs with a few rapala topwater bites thrown in.

Lost a good (6+?) as the fish hit so hard on a fluke that I struggled to make a good hook set.  It surfaced after a couple of seconds and threw the hook.

The water is very clear and the fish were hitting jigs/worms very soft but hitting flukes with all out abandon.
