I fished the upper lake on march 28 from 130 to 6 and caught 20 bass with the average being 1.25 lbs. Largest fish was 3 lbs. Also caught and kept 30 crappie.Most of the crappie were over 13 in and were very healthy. The water temp was 62 and the lake was full and in great shape!

Texas is a state that still allows private landowners to do what they want with their own fish. If you own your own private lake or pond you can do what YOU want with your fish. There are no fish harvest restrictions. Currently at Ben Wheeler we want you to take all crappie, but DO NOT KEEP A BASS OR CATFISH111
