3/29/13 Good Friday.  It was a windy day of fishing with my 6 year old boy and guest.  We managed 7 total fish, removed 4.  The big fish was a whopping 9 Pound 1 oz hog full of eggs that i landed, went about 24 inches long.  We boated another 21 inch, 5 pound 6 oz fish.  The bite was very slow, but hard to be disappointed on any day with a 9 pounder. 

We had to anchor as we went in order to avoid being blown off the lake, but it was a fun day all-in-all with my son and friend.  We were nervous about launching from the spillway with the dropoff that was noted at the end of the spillway.  After speaking with Steve and Brian, they apparently have had no issues running their trailer off that drop.  We ended up just launching from the bank at a place past the spillway and didn’t even have to get a tire wet.
