First let me say i am so sorry for this late posting. I have told so many people about this awesome property that for some reason I thought I had already sent this post.

I met a friend over at Beaver lake a couple weeks ago 3/20-21

First person I ran into was the owners girlfriend Joe Ellen. Very nce person, she made me feel right at home and very comfortable. The accommodations in the fishing trailer were wonderful, VERY clean!

Met my friend a short while later and headed for Beaver Lake. Unfortunately we had a cold east wind and the water had cooled to a chilly 56 degrees, down from 62 degrees. Fishing was slow, but we managed to slug out around 20 nice fish, All very chunky. The lake fishes much smaller than the acreage reports due to the tremendous amount of thick brush that was left in the lake when originally flooded. This is no place for wimps with kite string and buggy whips. This is broom sticks and warren winch country.

Second day we went over to Homeplace lake. Ugh, way too much brush in this lake in my opinion. My friend was not an expert fisherman and had little or no chance in catching anything but brush. Even at an expert level you going to have difficulty landing fish . It.s drop straight down, hook em and lift them straight up out of the brush and flop them in the boat.
We decided at the owners suggestion to switch lakes and go over to Leaky lake, It was the first in the series of lakes built there and is more open and easily fished, still a lot of timber under the water. But a very nice body of water, We caught several nice fish but again east wind and cold all day. The lake did not live up to it’s potential, as 3 fish over 10 lbs. have been caught there since the first of the year.

I met the owner on the first night when he came by the trailer. Turns out we knew a lot of the same fisherman from over Toledo Bend way. He grew up there bass fishing and has extensive bass fishing knowledge. He will give you good advice when visting his property.

All in all we had a very nice time, The boats are AWESOME!

Just remember…Not for Wimps!.....
