Beaver Lake is extremely low and it is now possible to easily walk around the entire lake. Only had time to fish for a few hours the afternoon of 3-28. Caught more than a dozen bass walking the shorline pitching crank baits and zara spooks. Nothing larger than 14 inches but there was no problem with vegetation and the shore was easy to navigate. I would avoid it after a heavy rain because the entire place would likely turn into a quagmire.

I just spoke to the landowner and the lake is about 50% full. This lake has a huge watershed and should fill if they could ever get some significant rain. We are still in a drought for a large portion of the state. It really depends on which part of the state you are in rather the lakes are full or not.
FYI, the Marshall lakes are all full and they have had double the average rainfall since the first of the year. Just 60 miles west in Gilmer and Sulphur Springs and the lakes are still 2 to 5 feet low.
