Fingerling
Took at guest to Pecan Springs Ranch for an afternoon of fishing and was VERY disappointed. It’s a beautiful property and well managed, but water clarity was horrible. Visibility of 1 foot to 18 inches. Probably due to mud bottom and lake is 8 to 10 feet low. One bite each in five hours of fishing. Wind 0-10 mph. Bluebird skies. Water temp 63 degrees. Exceptional weather conditions to fish, except you could barely see your hand if you put it into the water. Won’t be going back to this lake until water condition improves.

Bob,
Please note the 15 to 24 inches is what we are looking for in water clarity. Clear water is sterile water. Water with limited visibility is usually filled with plankton, except when the lake is muddy. But, I have been here, fished here, applied brush piles here and the water is not muddy. The visibility each of the times we have been is between 18 and 24 inches; near perfect. In fact, I wish we had a lot more lakes that had this fertile water, its just not the clear water that many of our fisherman like.
However, I am sorry about the slow bite. Wish you would have caught some.
