Two members fished Hat & Star Ranch Sat, 3/16. We fished from about 11 am to 3:30. Only 4 small fish caught.

The water temperature has not warmed up as yet and the fish have not moved to the banks.We got to visit with the land owner as we were leaving and to see the mounts on his wall. He stated if we had 4 nights where the temperature stays above 60 degrees, the fish should start moving into the shore areas and the cove just NE of the dam should be the place to start. He had many trees die as a result of droughts in the last couple of years. The place has been cleaned up dramatically since our first trip here..

My first trip there I caught an 8-6 so I do plan to return at some point. I recommend you bring your own boat although as we experienced probleams with the front seat on their boat.
