My first trip to JerMar did not disappoint. Fishing with a guest and his 10 year old produced only the excitement that you can find in a first catch for the youngster. After learning the ropes of casting and begging to switch to the dads’ rods (which were catching fish), finally that first strike happened and a 2 lb beauty lit up the boat. The weather was perfect and the north end of the lake yielded 22 fish in about 3.5 hours of fishing, mostly on rattling crankbaits (any color) and on a square billed sexy shad. I’ll certainly be back.
