It wasn’t you. We fished Deer Trail on 3/9. In 7 hours we caught 7 fish. Usually in the same time period we would catch 25 to 35 fish.  All 7 were 16 to 17 inches. One female loaded with roe but not quite ripe for spawning.  Another group was going to be fishing 3/10 so we will have to see how they did.  Never did rain on us but the wind blew hard all day.  I love the road work that has been done.  A top notch job.  Please thank the owner.  We fished shallow and deep. Plastics, chatters, cranks, jigs, top water and the kitchen sink.  We were both celebrating our birthdays (4th and 10th).  It’s a shame the Bass didn’t want to come to our party.  What did that guy Mac Arthur say,” I shall return”.
