Fished Triple J on the a.m. of 2/2/13. Decided to focus exclusively on Crappie and harvested 6 fish over 14 inches. Caught everything trolling in the middle of the lake on small white/red jigs. Water level is back up and the old dock pilings are underwater. Conditions look good for Spring fishing.

No, I did not. In fact, as many times as I have fished the lake I have never gone to that area because I thought it was extremely shallow. Is this a productive area when water levels are up?

I just joined PWF a couple of months ago, so I haven’t seen it when water levels are higher. Looks like the kind of place that should hold fish, though, once it gets some depth to it.

Any chance you looked at the water depth by the trees in the northwest section of the lake? Was 1’ or less in much of that area last time I was there.
