Dusted off my fishing tackle after the long hot summer and met up with John Egan to scout out this recent addition to the PWF family! Rolled in at sunrise under overcast skies and started on the nothernmost tank. This tank is down but extermely fishable from the dock and bank. Crystal clear water with aglae/moss on the bottom allowing for shallow running chase baits with small hooks to be effective. We circled the tank and caught 30 bass (29 culls 5 – 12”) in the first two hours with John hooking up a nice bass just over 19” with a chrome trap on his 2nd cast!

At 10am when the sun broke through the bite started to slow we decided to check out the other lakes on the property. The water level in all of these tanks are significantly down, are stained with maybe 6” of visibility and provided limited action. We managed to cull another ten by noon and I tied into a nearly 16” bass on a sq bill on the small tank on the nw side of the ranch (see map).

We returned to the first lake and fished till 2:30pm, culling another 15 small bass up to 13”. See map for cull

We met and had a nice chat with the owner! Pay attention to traffic as you enter and exit the property, as it appears they are adding another two lanes to Highway 77.
