Fished Post Oak on 11/23/12 in the afternoon. Got there at 12:30 pm just as the front moved thru. Winds were howling and cloudy and temp dropping by the minute. Had my wife with me so she could enjoy being out there and walking around while I fished. Needless to say she wasn’t thrilled about the mud and cold wind. Fished for a couple of hours without a bite, no protection from the wind and whitecaps all the way around. Went to smaller pond and wind wasn’t as bad but still no bites with everything I had thrown in the water. Also both feeders went off and I stood there and watched as the food hit the water and nothing ever came up to eat any of it, no baitfish, turtles or anything. I have never seen that, free food and no takers. Went into town and shopped with wife so it wasn’t a terrible ride home.
Fished Ashwood on 12/1/12 from 1:30 till around 5 pm. Took wife again and it was very nice and sunny, she enjoyed the property and walking around the lakes and talking to the cows. Caught around 20 with all on plastics and all were 12” or less, no big bites but it was still fun and property is perfect for wife to hang out with while fishing.
