Great day at Live Oak Creek. Fished for about 5 hours from sunrise to lunch. Heavy weeds along shoreline required strong casting accuracy from those fishing on the shoreline, but both boat and shore was productive. After first hour or two we commited to the frog after watching so many bass break water leaping for dragon flies. I had never seen that before, but it was active feeding throughout our day. We easily had 80+ misses with the frog, but we got better over time. Good casts in the openings of mats or clear holes along the shore usually produced hits. Most of the fish were on the point across from the boat and the shoreline to the left of that point. My son caught a hoss over there on shore with his mom. We didn’t have a scale or tape measure, but I told him there’d be no shame if he told people it was around 7:). I was down the creek in the boat, so I just heard the hollering and saw the picture later. Club boat was clean, worked great. Hot and buggy out there, but nice property and fantastic day.
