I was there at sun up and it was beautiful.  Slow fishing at first but got two in the kayak before...the storm/rain started.  I sat in my car for a few and realized, I would rather fish in the rain then sit in my truck.  Got out there and so glad I did.  When the rain picked up, I could throw the black/blue buzz bait!  It was on.  There were some bites from fish that changed my perception of the buzz bait.  I'm not sure what they think it is but I would throw a frog, a fluke, a Shakyhead and nothing...then the same area and they would murder the buzz bait.  My favorite was I threw it up near the shore about five or six feet away… and a huge swirl like the fish swooshed it with its tail.  So I retrieved it and threw it back like 6 inches from the shore and KABOOM!  It swallowed that buzz bait.  Biggest fish of the day almost 7#’s!!!!  So through the day I caught several 4 pounders and several 5/6 pounders all switching between the buzz bait and the chatter bait.
