Got on the water around 10 am. Water temp was 58 degrees and outside temp was around 62. A pretty good wind early out of the south, but you could get tucked in behind the dam and get out of it for the most part. The deepest water I charted was around 12’.
Tried everything in my arsenal, but slow bouncing a 3/8 maribou jig off the bottom in the drift seemed to be the most popular option.
Caught two bass, one a 8 inch and the other a 19” hog with some battle damage. Two very nice crappie and three smaller ones.
I marked numerous fish in the 5-8’ range and there was some feeding activity as small schools of baitfish (I assume shad) would surface occasionally as something was chasing them for a meal.
I spent a little time looking for brushpiles with negative results. I’d be willing to help out in putting a few in here.

Nice Fish. A 19 inch that fat was probably about 4.5 lbs.
