I fished this property alone on Monday November 26th. I was on the water at 9 am Air temperature was 68 and water temp was 56 with partly cloudy skies. There was some wind guest here and there but lake was protected by thick tree line that surrounded the lake. The water color was a milky brownish color (I suspect due to the high winds from the day before)
I started out alone the dam and on my 2nd cast picked up a 2 lb bass (that was ice cold) on a shad color spinnerbait with double chrome willow leaf blade ( I need all the help I can get to fish slow during cold water fishing) I picked up a few more along the damn before I made it to the brush piles. Picked up 3 more bass on a Rapala DT- 6 small crankbait perch color with a stop and twitch retrieve. Made it to the west side of the lake and picked up a 3 lb bass by trowing a frenzy shad color lip-less crank-bait with a yo-yo type retrieve back to the boat and 3 nice 1 1/2 pound crappie (that I harvested) on a white with read head jig. Could not develop a real pattern due to fish were scattered and did not mark many on the graph. Tried a few soft plastics with no luck (I did the best I could do trying to fish slow, slower and even cast count to 45 twitch rod tip stop count to 45 twitch rod tip still no takers so I quickly abandon that choice (cloudy water could have been a factor)
All in all it was a good day I caught 12 bass in all (all released) with the largest going 3 1/2 pounds and smallest was 10 inches. I will return to this property soon because its only 25 miles from my house and I feel I would have done better if water color was not so cloudy looking.
By the way, I did not see a mail box to fill out a consent form.
