First time fishing this lake.  First things first…  I would replace that old Gold lock on the gate.  The numbers are extremly hard to see.

On to the fishing!   We did not catch a ton of fish today (8) total but we caught 4 very nice size fish.   4.5/4.9/5.3/5.9   really nice size and they were really long.  In April and May you can easily add 1.0 pounds to each of those.  Great place to fish with and awesome grass like bottom.  Ton’s of places for fish to hide.  

We where using all creature bait and dragging the bottom.

The first two that we caught were 8-12 feet off the shoreline in those areas.

The two that were caught side by side were about 35-40 feet off the shore line.  Even with that blue barrel thing on shore.

We lauched our 17 foot bass boat with ease on that none concrete ramp.   Can’t wait to head back in Spring of 2026.
