My son and I fished Waco Creek on Saturday 8/8 from 7AM taking a 2 hour break at 2PM and then 4PM until sunset. Most of our bites were in the morning session and they were all over the lake with no consistent pattern. We would catch 1 or 2 in a spot and then had to move. The total number of fish on the clicker was 22 with probably another 6 that came off before landing at the boat. Most of the fish we did land were in the 2-3lb range, with the largest ~4lbs which was a blast. No giants this trip but that is what a return trip is for.

Most of the fish were caught on the chicken rig, crankbaits, and swim jigs with the drop shot being a secondary contributor. Visibility was probably 12-18 inches. I was surprised that there was not too much vegitation near the shore as I was expecting quite a bit from the last report. We had a great time.
