Lake is full. back to super clear too with vis about 5’ or so. I knew this was probably my last day of <90 degree weather for awhile and I was determined to find some bigger fish, so went for deep structure with deep crank bait, shakey head w/big worm, big swim bait, jig. The morning was cool with a lite northerly breeze. Caught one 16” fish with the deep crank, one on a 4” swimbait (nothing on the bigger one) and one on a whopper plopper early just cuz. I couldnt get bit on a fluke or a tx rig worm once i gave up on deep structure to try and catch some numbers before it got hot. Mardi gras yum dinger tx rigged on 2/0 hook at the old tank dam was all i could get bit on consistently. i gave up early though as it got pretty hot by about 12:30 (weatherbug had it ALL wrong!). i cleaned my 11 culls and went home. 

Its always a good day here. i love this lake and am so grateful to be able to fish it close to home and regularly.
