On the water at sunrise and off the water a little after noon as storms started to roll in. Morning bite window was strong and a lot of blow ups, mostly in deeper water. Caught 4 right off the bat then on the 5th bass, I took a #6 Owner hook to the ring finger. Barb was buried, and holding the bass with one hand and other hook in left hand makes it hard to maneuver. Finally got the bass off, and was able to punch the hook through the skin and just cut the hook. Worst part was watching the bass blow up around me as I am playing Dr. Mike.
Enough about my error in handling fish. Ended with 32 total, 11 culls and a handful just under 4lbs. Caught bass on everything including cranks, swim jigs, swimming worms and top water. Expected more top water action but the weeds have died back since my last visit. Another bite window opened around 11:30 and blow ups all over the lake. Couldn't get to them in time but was able to catch a couple that were still lingering nearby.

Nice day aside from the thumb! I feel for you as I had the same happen last year on Double A. It's quite the situation to unwind from. Glad to read the vegetation has lessened at Blue Rock.
