This was my first time to Pecan Springs, the property and lake are beautiful! The bite was pretty slow, fished from 645am to 10am. Caught 4 and had a couple other bites. 1 fish came on a weightless fluke, and the other 3 were on a T-rig Sinko. 1 about 10in, 2 about 13-14in, and 1 about 15-16in.Water was 87 degrees as soon as I got on the water, so didnt cool much at night. Coming into the property I saw about 200lb pig, that was pretty nice. For those bringing your own boat, theres 1 pretty low hanging limb on the Rd in, and then at the turn to the ramp its sharp and very tight. I have a 18.5ft bass boat and barly made it without dragging the boat through the brush. The ramp is at a lil of a weird angle cause you cant get straight in line with it, but its doable. The part you have to be careful of is wallking in the water on the ramp. The ramp isnt steap so you have to back way out to get the boat to float. So I had to walk in the water just to get back in the truck. Well let me tell you, as soon as your foot enters the water be prepared to start ice skating!!! Its very very slick, and by 645 this mornng I was soaked and muddy from busting my butt lol At least it wast cold! Over all lake is quite nice and I say it has potential its just hot right now and fishing everywhere is tough!
