I got out there at 9 am so I missed whatever first light bite would have been there.  Since the clouds covered up the temp was only 80’s and there was a breeze.  Caught a few on the frog and had one really nice one on the ol swamp lord.

i tried lots of moving baits but nothing worked until the Z man chatter bait.  I went on quite a run of 5-6 fish in a row.  I would position the kayak horizontally along the shore and long toss, let it sink and slow retrieve and they were crushing it.  As it got hot I switched to a shaky head with an Ocho worm and caught several nice ones.  As it got hotter and the clouds left...so did I.  Thanks PWF.
