It got really hot yesterday, but the fish catching kept it bearable for 5 hours. We had gotten there late and starting fishing close to 2pm. The owner met us as we were coming in and launching. He graciously welcomed us and helped out when I had forgotten my boat plug at home. He allowed us to remove the property’s boat plug to put in ours. I noticed the property boat was a pretty new 12’ aluminum, which would be great if you didn’t bring a boat. The launch ramp was great for launching my 15’ aluminum and trailer. The water level was normal and the water clarity was about 18-24”.  I didn’t have any electronics so most of our fishing was along the perimeter. I did try some offshore fishing, but I didn’t seem to find any offshore structures. The crankbait bite was nonexistent. Most of our catches were from soft plastics and a spinnerbait. I know this lake has some giants, but I wasn’t able to locate them without electronics. Most of the catches were 8-14” including a few 15-16”. We plan to come back out when the weather cools down and hopefully hang a few giants. We loved the layout because it provides a lot of areas to pitch jigs and trigs. Also it should provide great areas for catching springtime lunkers. We had to leave early but we hope to spend more time the next time we come back out. The owner was incredibly courteous and helpful. My daughter was also great at helping out on the trip. Thank you owner and PWF!
