Glad we got up in time because the rain and lightning came down really fast. It had poured almost the whole time driving home. We were expecting maybe some light rains during our trip. It never did rain while fishing for 5 hours, until we saw the dark clouds and lightning approaching around 6. We started the afternoon with some overcast, but the sunshine soon came out during most of our fishing. It was warm but it never got unbearable. Travis water level was down about 1’ and clarity was poor. We had a nice breeze to fish throughout the day. Fishing was a little spotty here and there. I really couldn’t come up with the right bait or location for catching bass today. They bit sporadically and in different areas. They seem to hit different baits and depths. But I could say the 2 biggest fish were caught in 5’ of water. The biggest was close to 22” and weighed almost 7#. She was definitely categorized a football. My daughter thought I caught my PB, but I told her the bass was a bit short to really tip the scales. It was definitely a site to see. My daughter ended up doing pretty good considering the clarity and spotty fishing. Thank you owner and PWF!
