Fun before the thunderstorm.

Fished Flying J Saturday afternoon with Paul Brinson.

In gate by 12;05 on water by 12:20, fishing moments later.

Water level near full.

Really neat water color contrast from super clear feeder creek side of lake then as you approach dam much less visibility due to recent weather.  The heavy vegetation on feeder creek side filters the water until about ½ way across lake towards dam side.

We fished the whole lake and Paul caught 3 on 4 casts at one point near middle of dam throwing back out deep but the fish were suspended high in the 19 feet of water there.  We started with Led Zeppelin then Country’s best.

We could see the storm coming so we were limited on our top water efforts although the funnest and towards end at 5:15 pm when we came off water.

I really like this property as it's the 3rd closest for me and easy to access.

We could still use help from fellow PWF members removing dinks as we did 14 of them.

No big ones but sure was fun!
