Fished by myself Wednesday morning. The lake is full with visibility of 3 ½ ft . The vegetation is growing requiring going wtless or no more than 1/32 oz wt along much of the shore line..In most of the deeper parts of the lake wtless presentations are not required. I used plastics never using more than 1/16 oz wts.
Caught 37 bass with the largest at 5 ¾ lbs. Of the ones caught 15 were removed with only 4 being 12” or less. The others were just under 14”. My best color was wat/seed as a jerk bait and wacky worm setup.I had equal success with a 5” and 4” worm.. The bass were around the trees, open water, shore line and the dam area. Everwhere. Generall where I found one others would be near by.
Also caught 20 bream of which 12 were huge. These all came from around the feeder that went off at 6:30 am.Glad to see the feeders back in service
Picked up 3 crappie while after bass. A large one, a medium one and a small one.
The club map shows two spots to launch a kayak. One you would need have to cut through a heavy stand of reeds, this used to be a good launch area, and the other is down a steep bank. For years a friend that fishes Jones and I have launched our kayaks in the area of his boat dock below the house.
The owner found a strap I use to tie down the kayak that his puppies, very friendly, had run off with. That was very helpful.
