My boy and I tried out Six-O for the first time this morning. What a beautiful lake. Launched the club boat, which is an awesome little pontoon, at 7am and caught one by the dock immediately. Then headed south up the shoreline and found fish in the grass all the way to the back cove. The bite ended at 10:15 and by 11:30 were ready for some air conditioning. 

We caught 11 total lmb. 9 were dinks but the other 2 were just over 2lb. Fighting a scrappy bass in all that grass feels like you’ve landed a monster so we had a good time. We lost a couple more at the boats edge and had consistent bites for a few hours. All fish were caught on green pumpkin and orange senkos. We tried a chatter and cranks after the bite died but no luck on those. All in all we decided this lake needs to be in our rotation moving forward. Only got to explore half the lake this time around.

The clipboard in the shed by the dock looks like it’s been abandoned for a while. The pages are old and there’s no spots left to record your catch. I’m not sure that this is even required anymore but it’s still on the instructions. If it is, then they need more blank fishing logs and some new pens.
