Fished Waterboo from 12:30 to 7 yesterday afternoon. The heavy rain the night before had the lake full, (water going over the outflow) and a little stained (3’ visibility instead of the usual crystal clear). I’ve always really liked this place – very peaceful, great scenery and decent fishing. Weather was mostly overcast with a light north breeze. Don’t know the water temp because my battery for kayak electronics had died and Amazon were late on the delivery of a replacement…. Tried a lot of methods, but they only seemed to want freelined senkos – mostly in the shallows up by the dam. Normally do well with a TX rig or wacky worm in the deep channel on the far side, but nothing doing yesterday. A few on top water toward the end. Ended up catching about 30, most around a lb, largest at 2 lbs (two of them). Owner does a great job of keeping the launch area mowed – thanks!
