Fingerling
Fishing partner Bill Morris and I each caught 7 bass in the AM, but I also caught a crappie to edge him out for most fish. My best 5 totalled 10 lb. 8 oz. Lost the big one though using a sexy shad KVD lipless crank bait, bouncing it on the bottom. The fish took the crank, circled our boat, swam away from us and then emerged, did a little dance on the top of the water and spit the lure. Easily 7 or 8 pounds. Oh well. That’s why they call it “fishing” instead of “catching.” Bluebird skies. Air temp was 48 at 6:30am and 75 when we quit at noon. No wind. A perfect day at 9G, except for the lost whopper.
